Responding to John Martin & John Spiers

How long does it take to develop materials for resource-based learning?

The answer to this is, without joking, the amount of money (or time etc.)
that you are prepared to invest. I've been involved in eight-country
consortia to produce broacast TV based courses in human geography that cost
millions of dollars US but have also written print based materials for that
cost a few thousand.

Having said that my advice is to not underestimate what is involved.
Writing educational materials takes time. No-one produces more than about
eight pages a day. A 200 page course at this rate of progress takes five
weeks of solid work. Using any other medium takes a greater investment.
