Manifestly, we do not have to use trial and error to learn things, for
most healthy humans have the gift of language as part of my biological
endownment. Neither do we have to repeat actions to be able to do them
"correctly" ( tell me, just how many times do I have to do things to
habituate them? is twice enough?).
If that was the basis of ALL our learning theories, I think we have a long
way to go.
