Hi everyone:

I have been a member of this forum for a couple of years, and I have always
enjoyed reading the postings and following the discussions. I have found
them very helpful in many ways. I have learned a lot from your personal
experiences with eLearning.

Now, I need your help. Are you interested in a study on learning objects
evaluation?

A lot of discussion has been going on about usability of learning objects,
their packaging and the standards we need to apply for their easy retrieval.
But, what about their quality? How can someone be sure that a learning
object found in one of the repositories on the Web has all the features
necessary to improve student learning?

Those are some of the questions I am wondering about as a graduate degree
student in Distance Education at Athabasca University in Alberta, Canada. I
am conducting a research on learning object evaluation, and educational
practitioners’ perspective on learning objects. I need a few more
participants to complete a brief questionnaire and to go through a learning
object evaluation process using the instrument developed at Simon Fraser
University, British Columbia.

If you think this will be an interesting adventure for you, or you would
like to know more about it, please email me at nboskic@telus.net. I will be
happy to send you all the necessary information. The only condition is to
have some experience with online learning.
