Dear IFETS members,

Recent, Tran Ha TP wrote a master thesis at the University of Twente,
titled: "Highly visualized and dynamical cartography web-bases materials for
geography department, Cantho University, Vietnam". She did an design-centred
empirical study to methods and techniques for animation for higher order
dynamical web-sites ('performance research').( Tran Ha TP, 2002)

Her master thesis is vailable on the internet:

<http://projects.edte.utwente.nl/pi/Papers/indexTran.htm>

She wrote: "This study has been logically arranged for purposes of well
structure and simplicity. The construction of a Web-based material like any
technical or instructional design can be broken down into 5 steps: analysis,
design, implementation, evaluation and maintenance. As a result, the thesis
is also organized so that it will follow these steps. The research focuses
mainly on the design approaches as well as the technique have been using in
the Web course."

Tran Ha TP did her study to web-technologies as HTML, Flash, Java,
JavaScript, Java-applets in combination to javascript, ActionScript, DHTML,
ArcView and Flash, VRML and Cosmo Worlds.

She found that java-applets in relation tot javascript is a very powerful
combination (1). Also ActionScript in Flash animations for higher order
courseware is very powerful.

Here products and here experiments are beautiful to see on internet and very
interest to read about it. Some of her products are online in the text.
