POLTS could also be perceived as a Social
Constructivism model, where the computer & the
software, all packaged together mediate with the child
to act upon the subject which is "out there".
I agree with Cameron Nichol,
"Some teachers prefer to construct their own course
based on their own collection of resources and
experience, others might look for a text book that
provides all the activities, worksheets and lesson
plans for them. Some students want to be spoon fed,
others want to be left alone to get on with it."
So as educators, it is essential that we provide them
such resources which would enhance student learning,
sharing the burden of the teacher.
Especially in a soceity where technological
innovations are at preliminary stages.
POLTS is an effort in this direction, I suppose. It
would not only enhance student physical activity, but
also cognitive activity.
