Imaginary character-to-character dialogue has been
done pedagogically, in videos, one of the more
boring ways to learn. Why do we love movies but
hate (OK, I speak for myself) instructional
videos? Is it the production values,
characterization, script, something else?
You endorse person-to-person and
character-to-character dialogues, but are silent
on person-to-character dialogues. I would think
that the last would fall in between the other two
in terms of pedagogical effectiveness,
particularly as the student might be as
emotionally involved as the person-to-person case.
