It's hard to beat one-on-one mentoring. And it's hard to beat the
Socratic Method as a mentoring technique. In one-on-one mentoring,
especially with the Socratic Method, one enters into a highly
individualized conversation with the learner that attunes both to their
cognitive state and to their affective (emotional) state. The result is
highly effective and engaging learning.

The next best thing to direct mentoring is storytelling in which the
Socratic Dialogue takes place between imaginary characters. That's
also a good way to seed direct mentoring, dialogue, and discussion.
