BE:
Doesn't "learner centered" imply "non-linearity"?

People learn all of the time. Any sensual input becomes a memory. It is
non-linear in as much as it has nothing to do with the next sensual input.
Or even different sensual inputs happening at the same time. The brain is
what puts some kind of order on what comes in. That is the brain creates
linearity out of nonlinear neural storage.

Child centere learning implies that we recognize that every child, that is
every brain, is prepared to take in different information at different
times. Each one chooses what it wants to place it more a permanent nerual
network system. It the child (brain) is not interested the brain fail to
renew and stregthn the memory net.

A student's learning style does not have to be consciously known for it to
function. But the student does have to be interested enough to listen, or
to follow a link to the next learning opportunity. The teacher (mentor) can
help the learner choose relevant learning routes. That, it seems to me, is
easier on the Internet than in the class room.
