Dear Colleague,
I am planning a commissioned book on “Technology Enhanced Primary
Education”. The objective of the book is to provide guidelines/feedback to
stakeholders in the use of media and technology in primary education i.e.
0-14 year (incl. teacher education for this age group). If you have been
involved in the implementation of ICT in this sector you may like to share
your experiences.
Some of the areas the book would cover are:
1. use of different technologies for primary education i.e. radio, TV,
video, teleconferencing, computers, on-line education etc.
2. different uses of technologies e.g. actual teaching - technology for
self-instruction, community/group use; teacher education etc.
3. teaching of various subjects e.g. language, maths, environmental science,
etc.
4. case studies (success stories & unsuccessful experiments), planning
process (local and national), financing etc.
5. Quality concerns
These are some of the areas and other areas could be added. Contributions
could be on a single technology or an overview of a country or area study.
It would be helpful if you could let me know your willingness to contribute
an article. A detailed outline would be mailed on hearing from you. You may
also forward this mail to your friends and colleagues who may be interested
in this area.
