We have had a few suggestions of answers to some of these questions, but as
of yet there has been no real discussion of the issues. M. Yasar Ozden
suggested placing class notes and other resources on webpages, but indicated
that it was not entirely satisfactory. However, he did feel that the teacher
could do it alone. Has anyone else done this? If so,
what successes or problems did you have?

In addition the questions which appeared in my first discussion message are
still open. We have had no real discussion of the possibilities, let alone
answers. The questions were

Are there creative ways to use the computer lab?

What materials might be appropriate and for what reasons?

Is it possible to adapted CALL/CAL materials in ways that are parallel to
adapting a textbook?

What are the problems and possible solutions to the question of potentially
having two methodologies (the teacher's and whatever is used in the CALL
materials) in a single class?

How does the teacher organize the class to promote the most effective
learning?
