hi:
initially, i would like to say that i'm reading all of the e-mail messages
submitted from list and having other poeople's expreinces. i think, it is
time to say something about my experiences on web based
education/instruction. for many years of work i'm still trying to find a
solution "how can i enhance web use in my courses". until now, i've tried
several methods but unfortunately, i couldn't say that i'm succesful. let me
give some information what i've tried until now.
i'm a member computer education and instructional technologies department,
faculty of education, middle east technical university, ankara, turkey. at
the moment, i'm on my sabbatical leave. i'm giving courses especially on
"web based education" and constructed several sites for my students i.e;

http://guide.fedu.metu.edu.tr (student projects)
http://csit.emu.edu.tr
nearly for two years i'm placing all of my lecture notes on my web site. on
the same site students can also use chat and forum opportinites. but, until
now i couldn't see any effective use of these tools. a few student has sent
messages for the time then, the result is nothing.
still i'm keeping their record and everyday feeling upset. could you please
help me how can i promote using these tools together with my course ????
