Autonomous - independent learners do need teachers. However they need them
more as consultants and coaches and guides not teachers per sey.
It does take practice and is a frame of the mind and takes time for students
to learn this route. It is part exploration, structure, self guidance and
being able to develop metacogntive self planning and evaluation methods.
