We also fail to question the received wisdom that education /needs/ to
keep up with these [technology] advances.
Several contributions mentioned the possibilities for
creative/experiential/collaborative learning via ICT. I'm really
passionate about this, but it seems that the world generally is currently
stuck in a behavioralist/only teach what's testable rut.

BE:
Marshall et.al., "Creative/experiantial/collaborative learning" is the goal
of 'A Coalition for Self-Learning.' It's current task is to produce a
"Guidebook and List of Consultants for Creating Learning Communities." The
"consultants" list will include any person or organization tht helps
families at the grassroots establish their own learning community. We
welcome a listing from anyone who is using ICT for collaborative learning.
Fill in the information below and "Reply."
******************

The Guidebook and Directory will include individuals and organzations that
provide speakers, worshops, publications or other services to help groups of
grassroots families of self-learners become legal cooperative entities for
providing educational opportunities to its members. The directory will be
printed and distributed to community organizations early in 2001. It is now
in draft under "Resources" on the Coalition's web site
<http://www.CreatingLearningCommunities.org>. Co-operators, communitarians,
futurists and alternative educators are invited to provide information on
their relevant services.

If you are one or could suggest others. we would appreciate your input with:

Thanks for any information you can provide.
